Awarded and happy!
Well yes, we are rather glowing with pride at having contributed, through the presence of our Doll chairs, to the success of the ACME Restaurant-Bar in Rushcutters Bay, Sydney, at the Bar Design Awards 2015.
This is what happened when four guys with get-up-and-go hooked up to open a seriously innovative place and did things with passion, creativity and flair, to succeed big time.
Designed by the Sydney-based architects Luchetti and Krelle, the outside is painted bright blue, and stands out in the evenings thanks to a neon light that cleverly illuminates the entrance. The interior has raw walls with exposed cement and plaster which contrast with the other materials used: elegant back-lit mirrors, light woods, comfortable and stylish seating, black leather and brass detailing.
The hip-hop tunes make for a great atmosphere without being too loud. The staff are friendly and you can even enjoy a kitchen-view to see the chefs in action, which we can assure you is well worth it, as they are preparing some of the most exciting food currently to be found on the Sydney scene.
The dishes on the menu are of the type that leave you gob-smacked and thoroughly satisfied, their originality bringing that cosy sense of abandon to your taste buds. Unsurprisingly, ACME won the “International Fame Restaurant” prize at Bar Design Awards 2015.
A collection of dollies, as the name suggests. A complete range of chairs, armchairs, lounge chair, barstool and table, with alluringly sweet lines; solid beech or metal frames. Seats and backs upholstered, or stained or lacquered.
