28 posti is a canalside restaurant in Milan’s Navigli area, duly with 28 covers in a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. In 2020, six years after opening, the restaurant’s restyling was entrusted to Cristina Celestino who set herself the target of “creating a parallel between the interiors and the cuisine of chef Marco Ambrosino, the undisputed soul of the restaurant.”

This new project has remained faithful to what Milan restaurant-goers think of as 28 posti; it is stylish but not over the top new look. Natural materials are to the fore – wood in various finishes, terracotta, natural waxed iron – and some delicate touches.

The Fratina collection is inspired by those classic chairs with rush seats, but in Emilio Nanni‘s reinterpretation, the designer exaggerates its lines, the legs have a round section and the backrest, attached to the rear legs, is generous to the point of becoming a semicircle in the armchair version.
